9 yield over P220K in ‘shabu’ in Bacolod ops

Nine persons were arrested while P224,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized in buy-bust operations in the past four days in Bacolod, the City Police Office reported.

On Thursday night, AJ Vincent Montelibano, 18, was caught selling a sachet of shabu, worth P500, to an undercover policeman in Purok Nangka, Barangay 6.

The operation, carried out by personnel of Police Station 2 at 9:05 p.m., yielded four sachets of shabu, weighing about five grams, and worth P35,000.

The police also conducted four operations on Wednesday.

At 6:30 a.m., Albert Orilla, 25, and Leonel Diaz, 28, were arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 at Gatuslao Street in Barangay 38.

They yielded five sachets of shabu, weighing less than a gram, and valued at P6,000.

At around 7:10 p.m., Rey Yungco, 41, was apprehended by personnel of Police Station 4 along Narra-Lopez Jaena Streets in Barangay Villamonte.

He sold P200 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer, and yielded five sachets weighing one gram and worth P6,800.

Twenty minutes later, intelligence operatives of Police Station 3 arrested Ryan Ledesma, 35, at a bus terminal in Barangay Bata after he sold a sachet of shabu, worth P500, to an undercover policeman.

He yielded two sachets of the prohibited substance, weighing about a gram and valued at P6,800.

Around 9:20 p.m., Arnold Corpus, 42, and Jason Serato, 24, both of Talisay City, Negros Occidental, were arrested by a team of the Police Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-Western Visayas with personnel of Police Station 6 at Doña Juliana Subdivision in Barangay Taculing.

The suspects sold to a police poseur-buyer four sachets of shabu, worth P80,500, and placed in a blue pouch.

Corpus was previously arrested for a similar offense, but was released after he entered into a plea bargain agreement, the police report said.

An inventory showed the operatives seized a total of 15 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P105,000.

At around 6 p.m. on Monday, Rodelio Samodio, 37, a high-value individual, was arrested by the drug enforcement team of Police Station 7 at his residence on Azucena Street, Purok Paghida-et in Barangay Mansilingan.

He sold P300 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer, and yielded three sachets of the same prohibited substance, weighing six grams and with an estimated market value of P40,800.

At 6:10 p.m., Reymundo Guillero, 18, was apprehended by personnel of Police Station 5 in Purok Chareza 1, Barangay 27, after he sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer. Operatives also recovered from the suspect four sachets weighing more than three grams and valued at P24,000.*PNA
