The Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region is deploying 900 police personnel and other force multipliers to ensure the comprehensive security at Panaad sa Negros festival sites in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, police regional director of Negros Island Region, and Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will lead the send-off ceremony of security forces, personnel of the Bureau of Fire and Protection, Provincial Health Office and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, and other force multipliers, on April 11 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
The festivities of the 30th edition of Panaad sa Negros will start from April 13 to April 19.
The send-off ceremony will include the presentation of force and resources, as well as the blessing of troops, signifying full operational readiness and the unified commitment of all units involved.
In a statement, the PRO- NIR emphasized that the deployment will be implemented under a comprehensive security framework anchored on intelligence-driven operations, heightened police visibility, and strong coordination with local government units, force multipliers, and partner agencies, ensuring the efficient, coordinated, and seamless implementation of all security measures throughout the duration of the event.
The security personnel will also be provided with more than 100 logistical assets, including mobile vehicles, motorcycles, handheld radios, and base radios to enhance mobility, coordination, and operational efficiency throughout the event.
Ibay assured the public of the PNP’s full readiness to address any security concerns.
He also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and to extend full cooperation with authorities by strictly observing security protocols, underscoring that public safety is a shared responsibility for a safe and successful celebration of the Panaad Festival.*
