Bacolod has already administered 90,942 vaccines as of Monday with 24,040 of them for the full inoculation of city residents, the Emergency Operations Center said yesterday.

Of the number, 67,269 were with China-made Sinovac vaccines while the rest were with British-Swedish AzrtaZenca jabs, the EOC said.

The EOC and the Covid-19 Vaccination Council, both chaired by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, also started rolling out Johnson & Johnson vaccines at the SMX Convention Center, Ayala Malls Capitol Central, and Robinsons Place Wednesday, while Pfizer vaccines are administered at the Bacolod City Government Center.

Acting City Health officer Edwin Miraflor said J&J vaccines are single dose and intended for those with comorbidities and senior citizens, while Pfizer vaccines are for overseas Filipino workers.

WALK-INS ALLOWED

Miraflor said senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and OFWs are now allowed to get vaccinated against Covid-19 on a walk-in basis, but they have to present proofs that they belong to the priority groups.

He said senior citizens should present their identification cards, medical certificates for those with comorbidities, agency contract or employment certification for OFWs, while seafarers may present their Maritime Industry Authority identification card or Seaman’s Book.
