Additional bonuses for capitol employees possible

• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

The possibility that regular and plantilla casual employees of the of the Negros Occidental provincial government may receive a bigger amount in additional bonuses before year ends, compared to last year, was entertained yesterday by Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.

In the past two years, Diaz said Capitol employees received a total of P55,000 in bonuses, including P30,000 for the Collective Negotiation Agreement Incentive, P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive, and P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive, as guidelines are expected to be released by the Department of Budget and Management this week.

As soon as there will be guidelines for the giving of Performance Based Bonus (PBB), he said the provincial government has the amount ready for it, stressing that Capitol employees are entitled to receive the 2023 and 2024 PBBs.

The PBB is equivalent to 60 percent of the basic salary of Capitol employees.

As soon as there are guidelines, Diaz said that Governor Eugenio Jose Lacsom will give the bonuses without delay.

On the other hand, the Contract Of Service and Job Order workers will also receive gratuity pay, he added.

The additional bonuses for Capitol employees, according to Diaz, will be announced by Gov. Lacson during his birthday and Christmas party of Capitol employees on December 13 at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon in Bacolod City.*
