The provincial government of Negros Occidental is expected to release additional bonuses for its regular and casual employees starting Monday next week, disclosed yesterday by Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
Regular and casual employees are receiving P65,000 additional bonuses each, including P25,000 for Collective Negotiation Agreement, P25,000 more as Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services P10,000 as Service Recognition Incentive and P5,000 for Performance Based Incentives, as per announcement earlier of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Diaz said job order employees and under Contract of Service will also receive P3,000 gratuity pay, which will be released, as soon as the Department of Budget and Management issues a memorandum circular authorizing the provincial government to do so.
He explained that JOs ad COS are disqualified from receiving additional benefits. “If we are allowed, why not”, Diaz said.
Various Capitol departments are now preparing their respective payrolls for the release of additional Christmas bonuses, following approval by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on its budget during their regular session on December 14, which was presided over by Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer.
First to be released next week are CNA, IBES and PEI, with a total amount of P55,000, while the provincial government is still waiting an authority from DBM for the release of SRI, Diaz said.*
