As the campaign period for candidates seeking national elected positions begins, Army soldiers stationed in Negros and Panay were reminded to strictly adhere to election laws and remain neutral.

That was stressed by Brig. Gen. Michael Samson, acting commander of the Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, during the command’s flag-raising ceremony on February 3 at Camp Gen Macario B. Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz.

Samson reminded the troops that the strength of the unit comes from everyone working together, supporting one another, and achieving common goals.

“Our strength lies in the collective effort of every member. In times of challenge, unity will carry us through,” Samson said.

With elections approaching, he also highlighted the importance of adhering to election laws.

Samson emphasized that troops must remain neutral to ensure a fair and transparent election process.

“Let us avoid violating the gun ban. Our responsibility is to uphold the law and respect the democratic process. We must commit to maintaining neutrality and carrying out our duties with integrity,” Samson stressed.

He also focused on the well-being of the troops, acknowledging that strength depends on the support given to each soldier.

“Let us always stay united because there is strength in unity. Work becomes easier when there is understanding, unity, and togetherness,” he added.
