Agate Tires went against Jumbo as the Fil-Sino 2nd Bacolod Truckers Basketball Cup continued. The teams opened the game in an impressive fashion on both ends of the court, where the first quarter was a tight battle that ended with a 2 point advantage in favor of Jumbo.
The Agate Tires bounced back in the second quarter to take a double digit lead at the break, 47-37. They continued to keep the pressure up and extended their lead to a sizable 20 points as the game went into the final frame, 72-52.
Given the score discrepancy, the Jumbo were not able to recover in the final ten minutes, and the game ended with a final score of 98-76, in favor of Agate Tires.
Carl Magbanua led Agate Tires with 22 points and grabbed the player of the game honors, while Alvan Rodriguez furnished with 14 and Cesar Tan tallied 12 points. James Garrucho supplied 17 points to lead Jumbo.
