Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez is the new chairman of the Regional Development Council of Western Visayas.
Benitez was elected as the new RDC 6 chairperson during its meeting yesterday in Iloilo City.
He thanked all the governors of Western Visayas, local chief executives, the business sector, national government agencies, and accredited civil society and non-government organizations, for his nomination as RDC chairman.
“Thank you for acknowledging my capacity, your vote of confidence inspires me to work harder for my LGU – Bacolod City, and for the rest of the region”, he said.
Benitez is also the chairman of the League of Cities of the Philippines.*
