An all-female art exhibition featuring the works of Bellas Artes de Negros artists, using recycled materials, opened at the North Block of SM City Bacolod yesterday and will run until April 30.

Titled “Bin to Beauty” the exhibit showcases the works of Monic De la Cruz, Patty Jane Ong, Sandy Solinap, Jenevieve Abeto, Joy Gicana, Jocelyn Joy Gomez, and Chrysee Samillano.

“Everywhere we look, discarded items hold a latent beauty, awaiting the discerning eye to transform the undesirable into something captivating, as showcased in the ‘Bin to Beauty’ exhibit,” said Abeto, founder of Bellas Artes de Negros.

This artistic endeavor champions resourcefulness that extends beyond mere materials, encouraging a resourceful mindset capable of perceiving potential where others see waste. The creations within this exhibit redefine beauty, illustrating that it isn’t confined to notions of luxury or flawlessness but rather emerges from the harmonious arrangement of imperfections, giving new life and meaning to what was once considered refuse, she added.*
