Members of the Group of Negrense Artists (GONA) are currently holding a year-end group exhibition-for-a-cause for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Tino.
Titled GONA “All Together”, the show will run until the end of the month at Whyte Plates Restaurant at East View Hotel, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.
GONA president GilJohn Quiamco said they will be turning over a portion of the proceeds of the show to the typhoon victims during an outreach program they will be conducting in La Catellana this December.
The 18 participating artists include Quiamco and his son Zion Gabe and wife Cindy, Mei Lonasco, Annalyn Trespicio, Dynalyn Tan, Steve Maquiling, Francis “Boy” Alacapa, Patricia Larayos, Arvin Belicano, Rose Jemino, Cresline Corsiga, Buddy Maridable, Mel Araneta, Hanz Martin Javier, Junwell Alarcon, Yuma Acot, Marvin Magbanua, Leo Carton, and Junie Dela Cruz.
Guests of honor at the opening were Kris Guevarra, owner of Whyte Plates Restaurant, Chrysee Samillano, and Patty Jane Ong, vice president and treasurer of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros, respectively.*
