AMHOP NegOcc officers take oath

The newly elected officers of the Association of Municipal Health Officers of the Philippines (AMHOP)–Negros Occidental Chapter, led by Dr. Ma. Ayessa Hugnatan of Cauayan, took their oaths of office on Friday before Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson during rites held at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City.

Other officers are Dr. Peter Paul Hinolan of Escalante, vice president; Dr. Jade Paul Morin of Don Salvador Benedicto, secretary; Dr. Maria Victoria Ibañez of Cadiz, treasurer; Dr. Jabbel Jayawon of San Carlos City, auditor; and Dr. Mark Rezaga of Calatrava, public relations officer.

AMHOP is an organization dedicated to empowering municipal health officers, rural health physicians, and allied health professionals in the country, whose primary mandate is to improve public health services in rural areas and emerging cities by enhancing the capacity of health officers and promoting accessible, quality health care.

In a statement, Gov. Lacson also reaffirmed his support for AMHOP–Negros Occidental and expressed confidence that the new set of officers will lead with integrity, foster collaboration, and maintain a clear focus on the welfare of both health workers and the communities they serve.

Assuring his continued full support to them, Lacson said “the Provincial Government remains your partner in bringing quality health care closer to every Negrense family.”

He further emphasized that through strong partnerships and shared commitment, the province can continue to strengthen health services and ensure accessible and quality care for all.*
