The Association of Negros Producers received P5 million in assistance from Capitol for the construction of its Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Hub, Business and Training Center, and Bugana Market.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday led the turnover of the check to ANP, represented by its president, Arlene Infante, chairperson Christina Gaston, and vice president for membership Elsie Gonzaga at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City. They were joined by Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
The ANP said the provincial government’s support is timely to sustain the MSMEs in Negros Occidental amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Infante thanked the governor and the provincial government for granting ANP its permanent home.
She said the building will be its MSME Hub where the new Negros Showroom, ANP Business Center, and Bugana Market will be enjoyed by everyone under one roof.
The hub will be located at the provincial government-owned property at South Capitol Road in Bacolod City.
Earlier, the ANP, along with Talarak Foundation Inc., signed an agreement with the governor for their use of the property rent-free for 25 years.
ANP was granted the use of 1,000 square-meter lot at the Negros Forest Park for its showroom.*
