The strict implementation of the barangay drug clearing program and intensified anti-drug operations in Western Visayas were tackled in yesterday’s meeting of top officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Police Regional Office in the region.
Newly-installed PDEA-6 regional director, Edgar Apalla, met with P/Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan, regional director of PRO-6, at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City, yesterday. Both of them came from Baguio City, the PDEA-6 reported.
Apalla was joined by his Chief Operations Division head IA V Christina Cabatingan and Chief Intel and Investigation Section, IA I Francisfil Tangeres.
Apalla and Pamuspusan expressed full support between the two agencies in the conduct of intensified anti-drug campaign in Western Visayas with the end in view of eradicating the drug problem through strengthened collaboration, cooperation, coordination and good interoperability among units under their respective command, the report added.*
