Five unidentified armed men shot and killed a farmer on March 19 at Sitio Trinity in Brgy. Canlusong, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The victim identified by the police as Roger Libre, 46, of Sitio Tayap, Brgy. Patag, Silay City, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The lifeless body of Libre was found by his wife, Mary Ann, at a ravine in their “kaingin” farm, police said.
Marvin, son of the victim, told the EB Magalona police that his father was shot by five unidentified armed men, who were wearing black pants, jackets and bonnets.
On the other hand, the cadaver of Roberto Garganian was also discovered on March 19 at Sitio Caradio-an, Brgy. San Antonio, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
The victim was found inside a sugarcane plantation about 10 meters away from his residence.
The cause of death of the victim has yet to be established by the Himamaylan police.*
