Six unidentified armed men shot and killed a laborer on September 15 in Sitio Tabuan, Brgy. San Isidro, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
Initial police investigations showed that six armed men dragged the victim identified as Dionesio Alabado Jr., alias Apa, about 20 meters from his house, where he was shot in the head.
Alabado was declared dead on arrival at the EB Magalona Municipal Health Office, by Dr. Edmundo Janeo, according to the EB Magalona police.
Lt Col. Jay-J Javines, 79th Infantry Battalion commander, yesterday said their investigations showed that the shooting incident was reportedly triggered by personal grudges, and not insurgency-related.*
