An encounter ensued yesterday between Army soldiers and suspected remnants of the New People’s Army in Sitio Nabalas, Brgy. Canlusong, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
No casualties were reported on the government side, while Army soldiers are still scouring the encounter site in pursuit of the fleeing rebels, whose numbers are estimated at 9, according to an initial report of the 79th Infantry Battalion.*
