More than P1.18 million worth of suspected shabu was seized yesterday by the police in another buy bust operation at Purok Kapawa in Brgy Punta Taytay, Bacolod City.

Nabbed by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit were Pearl Je-Ann Elera y Llenos, 26 years-old and her live-in partner Riegel Troy Quimba, 20, both residents of the barangay.

Elera had previously been arrested in June 2020 for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

Two months after she was released from jail, Elera continued her illegal activities with her live in partner, Quimba, according to regional police spokesman PLt. Col. Arnel Solis.

The arrest of two drug suspects yielded 174 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,183,200 and marked money of P1,500.

Another drug suspect identified by the police as Mark Ronquillo was also arrested by the police in a buy bust operation on Thursday at Purok Hortencia, Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The apprehension of Ronquillo, 42, yielded a gram of suspected shabu with a market value of P6,800 and its paraphernalia, a cellular phone, P500 in marked money and P226 in cash.

PBrig. Gen. Glynn Dongbo, regional police director of Western Visayas, applauded the leadership of Bacolod City Police Office under the command of PCol. Joseph Thomas Martir for their relentless effort against illegal drugs.*
