Arrested gun ban violators in WV now 69

The Police Regional Office reported yesterday that the number of arrested gun ban violators have risen to 69, as of October 2.

Among the violators, 64 are civilians, three security guards, while two others are members of law enforcement agencies, according to PRO 6 reports.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office still has the most number of arrests, which rose to 19; Iloilo Police Provincial Office – 16, Iloilo City Police Office – 9, Capiz PPO and Bacolod City Police Office with seven each; Aklan PPO – 6, Guimaras PPO – 3, and one each for Antique PPO and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.

PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, regional police director of Western Visayas, lauded the accomplishments of various police units for the strict implementation of the COMELEC gun ban.*
