Art exhibit for 55 kids with cancer

An art exhibit for a cause, featuring the works of esteemed Negrense artists opened at the Buglas Foyer of Citadines Bacolod on September 28, to support 55 children battling cancer.

The show titled “Pintal sang Pag-laum kag Yuhum” will run until November 15.

The featured artists are Andrew Peñalosa, Angela Silva, Dr. Angela Co, Anika Marie Loquite, Dr. Chinkin Coruna, Dennis Valenciano, Don Kusuanco, Doreen Dofitas, Janna Remus, Jay-R Delleva, JM Valenciano, Jo Anne Curoña, Jovito Hecita, Joy Delleva, Julia “Amai” Lopue, Larry Carumba, Leah Divino-Samson, Leizel Lacsao-Dator, Leucia Delleva, Sherryann Quivis, Van Cinco, and Olive Torres.

All proceeds of the show will go towards supporting the children’s treatment and bringing smiles to their faces this Christmas in collaboration with Pediatric Oncologist Dr. Larissa Jane De Leon. This effort aims to provide financial assistance while spreading awareness and compassion.

In her message, De Leon thanked the artists for sharing their talents through an exhibit  which made her dream come true.

Although she had no funds, it was her dream to bring smiles to cancer-stricken children this Christmas, since not all of them will be able to survive, she said.*
