Members of the Artisticrew dressed up in their spookiest costumes for the opening of their group art exhibit at Tippy’s Bistro along 10th-Lacson streets, Bacolod City on October 30, in celebration of Halloween.
Titled “Biyaya Mula sa Tubig at Lupa,” the show will run until November 24. The event also coincides with Tippy’s Bistro’s 10th year anniversary celebration
The featured artists are Julius Añasca, Sherwynn Cadianza, Sherryann Quivis, Waraichi, Jerrylyn Mangao, Doreen Dofitas, Joey Cabiles, Kyla Mediano, Maryrose Santos, Mariel May Magbanua, Therese Gavilanes, Venus Montejo, and Ma. Theresa Perez.

“Biyaya Mula sa Tubig at Lupa” is an artistic journey into the heart of nature—a tribute to the vital connection between humans, animals, plants, and the flowing waters that sustain our world, Dofitas said in her message during the opening.
The featured artworks show how the artists weave together the strength of the soil and the movement of water, both of which are symbols of creation, transformation, and hope. While the earth speaks of rootedness and endurance, the ripples and currents of water symbolizes the rhythm of life, emotion, and time, she said.
“The gifts harvested from both the earth and water become the subjects in the artworks in celebration of our belonging to the living earth that nurtures, renews, and has long given life to us all,” Dofitas said.
In cooperation with Tippy’s Bistro, Maya Art Space and Artisticrew, the art exhibition also coincides with the upcoming Terra Madre – Organic Festival, she said.
Bacolod City will be hosting Terra Madre at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon from Nov. 19 to 23, under the theme “From Soil to Sea: A Slow Food Journey through Tastes and Traditions.”*
