Gallerie G at Villa Geronca Bldg., Rosario-Amapola streets, Bacolod City launched its inaugural art exhibit on July 8 which will run until July 31.
Guests of honor were gallery owner Jun Geronca and visual artist Orlando Canlas.
Titled “Salingsing”, the show features the works of Rodney Martinez, Edbon Sevilleno, Fred Orig, Bry Cervantes, Ryn Paul Gonzales (RPG), Edmund Bacia,
Mike Borromeo, Rianne Salvarita, Maymay Camarines, Tibo Deocades, Beto Tiano, Vicky Gasper, Gigi Villamor, Svet Sevilleno, Maria Jimenez, Arnel Villaceran, Jun Castillon, Jay Tabligan, and Revo Yanson.
Meanwhile, Mike Pillora, pioneer of the legendary group ASIN, together with Negrense folksinger Ram Martinez provided musical entertainment during the opening of the show along with Beto Tiano, RPG, Kent Bluestone and “Kalayo”.
Yanson said Gallerie G, which is run by a team of artists of which he belongs to, was established to help propagate Negrense art and provide a venue for local artists, in partnership with ARTambay.
He added that Gallerie G is considered as a continuation of the Art Attack Studio at the third floor of Villa Geronca Bldg., thus the title “Salingsing” was coined.*
