Negrense artists and musicians joined forces to raise funds for the medical needs of a fellow artist suffering from health issues.
Dubbed “Art in Every Note,” the benefit concert for Guen was held at Viñas Lechon, Araneta Street, Bacolod City on May 31.
The live concert was participated in by Mike Pillora, founder of the legendary Pinoy folk rock band, ASIN; Ram Martinez, Sonny Boy Quilisadio, Daniel Decena, Jasper Santos, Gaspar and the Waiters, Kumpletos Recados, Tong Pao, Ping Quimba of Trivity, Peace Makers, and Aero & FRCTN.

Jan Erik Villa, project director of Rekindle PH, said that aside from the live concert, there is an ongoing online benefit movement for Guenivere Decena, a teacher from La Consolacion who is suffering from cancer. Last June 8, a literary gathering for a cause dubbed “Where Lines Meet” was held at Lyric: Music Lounge/Studio/Bar at Lacson Street, also for the same cause.
Villa said Rekindle PH is a collective for upcoming local artists who need a venue to express their talents.*
