Different art groups held separate activities in Bacolod City during the weekend, in line with the celebration of the National Arts Month.
A group art exhibit by the UNA Alliance Inc. opened at Megaworld’s Upper East, Saturday morning, in collaboration with the City Government of Bacolod and the City Tourism Office.
Joining the ribbon cutting at the Bacolod City Public Plaza were Councilors Em Ang, Jason Villarosa, and Celia Flor, City Tourism Operation Officer Ma. Teresa Manalili, Orange Project co-founder Charlie Co, Sandy Solinap of UNA Alliance, and Megaworld Visayas first vice president for sales and marketing Jennifer Palmares Fong.
Meanwhile, watercolorist and Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AAB-N) director Edbon Sevilleno0 conducted “Tampisaw”, an abstract watercolor demo workshop at Park Inn by Radisson where he is currently holding a solo exhibit.
On the other hand, the members of UNA Alliance held an Arte Kuriti mural activity at the southern portion of the Bacolod Plaza, while members of the AAB-N held a plein air painting session in another section of the plaza on Sunday.*
