
The Fil-Sino 1st Sailun Tire Basketball Cup games on Friday saw Atrezzo RO1 Sport taking down Terramax CVR with a final score of 98-90. The former got out to a strong start and held an eight-point lead after one quarter. They kept the momentum going in the second and still led by eight points at the half time break.
RO1 Sport kept up the pace in the third and increased their lead to fifteen points going into the final quarter, 74-59. At that point, the CVR did not back down and poured in 31 points in the fourth quarter, but still came up short, ending the night with a loss.
Alben Bunol led Atrezzo RO1 Sport with 16 points. Oda Tampus followed with 15 points, while Jessie Moreño totaled 13 points, along with player of the game honors. Meanwhile, Nike Montalvo led Terramax CVR with 19 points, Michael John Calibo followed with 17 points, while Albert Magdato chipped in 14.
In the other game, Atrezzo SVR LX defeated Atrezzo ZSR, 91-88. The SVR jumped out to a great start and led the game, 27-20, after one quarter. The ZSR came out strong in the second and managed to trim the deficit to four points by halftime, 43-39.
The SVR managed to reclaim the momentum in the third and outscored the visitors by 10 points for the quarter to take a fourteen-point edge going into the fourth. The ZSR kept up the pace in the fourth but could not cut into the difference, as the SVR cruised to a triumphant victory.
Tata Javillo led the Atrezzo SVR LX with 29 points, Jappy Cuaycong followed with 16 points and player of the game honors, while Carlo Chu and Kevin Ramos totaled 15 and 12 points, respectively. Meanwhile, Malvin Pineda led the Atrezzo ZSR with 31 points, while Brian and Jeremy Coo chipped in 12 points each.*
