The Fil-Sino 1st Sailun Tires Basketball Cup continued, as the Atrezzo RO1 Sport defeated Atrezzo ZSR, 108-84, in last week’s game. The latter jumped out to a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the former clawed their way back, entering halftime with a double digit lead, 46-34.
The third quarter was all RO1 Sport, as they won the frame 34-24, and then continued the momentum into the fourth quarter to earn a deserving victory. Ben Bunol led the Atrezzo RO1 Sport with 31 points and player of the game honors, Oda Tampus added 26 points, while Cesar Tan chipped in 23. Kim Dimaranan led Atrezzo ZSR with 16 points, Marc Choa and JB Co had 12 points apiece, while Malvin Pineda contributed 10 points.
In the other game, Terramax AT faced Atrezzo SVR LX, where the game started competitively as the teams traded buckets throughout the first quarter, which ended at 25-22. Terramax AT steadily built a lead in the second frame and entered halftime up by ten points, 51-41. They dominated again in the third quarter, winning the frame and holding a 24-point lead heading into the final 10 minutes. The SVR kept up the pace in the fourth, but Terramax AT stayed a step ahead to claim the win with a final score of 98-82.
Harvey Eslawa finished the game with 34 points for Terramax AT. JD Javelosa also had 24 points to go along with player of the game honors. Renz Illustracion contributed 11 points with three buckets from behind the arc , while Macoy Reyes tallied 10 points. Raffy Canizares led Atrezzo SVR with 23 points, Kevin Ramos recorded 20, while Carlo Chu and Jappy Cuaycong tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.*
