The Bacolod City government announced that 1,506 residents have been enrolled in the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) from July 1 to August 31.
Secretary to the mayor, Atty. Jose Marty Go, focal person of BacCHP, stated that 1,769 beneficiaries also availed of the services of the program during the same period, in all accredited hospitals.
Go added that even without a card, BacCHP recipients can still avail the services since their names are already in the system.
In a press conference, Go also provided an update regarding the 7,978 BacCHP cards that were left undistributed by the previous administration.
“We already released all the undistributed cards, but there are still barangays who haven’t claimed it,” he said.
According to him, those who have not yet claimed their cards can pick them up directly at the Public Affairs and Assistance Division Office, located on the third floor of the Bacolod Government Center.
Go also mentioned that they will be coming up with a new BacCHP Memorandum of Agreement between private hospitals, with the same provisions as the previous administration, but the signatory will be changed to Mayor Greg Gasataya.
The BacCHP program provides medical assistance, including hospitalization support and free medicines, to qualified residents.*
