Bacolod Arts, Culture and Heritage Inc. (BACHI), represented by its officers Sandy Solinap and Kyle Jocson, joined the recent Sinadya Festival at Barangay Busay, Bago City, a joyous celebration honoring the Feast of San Isidro Labrador, Patron Saint of farmers.

The festival served as a heartfelt thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and the blessings of community life. Rooted in Catholic tradition, Sinadya featured a colorful street dance competition, a solemn thanksgiving mass and a grand parade showcasing the statue of San Isidro Labrador. Guests and locals alike enjoyed a sumptuous feast of local cuisine and rice delicacies, underscoring the rich agricultural heritage of the community.

The successful event was spearheaded by the dynamic leadership of Barangay Kapitan Glenn Dagunan, together with the Barangay Kagawads and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

Barangay Busay, known for its vast farmlands producing rice and sugarcane, carries a legacy tied to the late Maria “Inday Maring” Coscoluella Locsin of Janiuay, Iloilo, who married the late Marciano Araneta of Bago City. Their heritage continues to shape the community’s agricultural identity and cultural traditions.

Through its participation, BACHi reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating local culture, supporting community traditions and honoring the enduring spirit of thanksgiving that defines the Sinadya Festival.*
