The 2026 Bacolaodiat Festival is slated to run on February 20-22 at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) grounds.
According to Councilor Jason Villarosa, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Tourism, the Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 17, but the festival was scheduled on the weekend.
The festival events will shift exclusively to the BCGC area this year due to budget considerations, omitting the use of the Lacson Tourism Strip.
The city government has allocated a P5 million subsidy to support the Filipino-Chinese community in organizing the celebration, which honors the cultural heritage and shared traditions of Bacolod’s diverse community.
Preparations for the three-day event will start as early as February 15 with the installation of festival kiosks around the government center.*
