Dr. Carmela Marie Bongco Lizares placed second in the Veterinarian Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Veterinary Medicine in August and September 2021.
Lizares’ rating of 84.52 placed her second among 275 other exam passers from all over the country, closely trailing fellow University of the Philippines Los Baños College of Veterinary Medicine graduate Gabriel Gonzaga Comota’s first place rating of 85.36. A total of 720 took the board exam in Manila, Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Koronadal, Legazpi, and Tuguegarao.
“MM” is the daughter of Rafael “Juny” and Jeanne Lizares and is an alumnae of St. Scholastica’s Academy of class 2011. She is reportedly currently practicing veterinary medicine in Santa Rosa, Laguna and plans to gain more experience abroad before returning to the Philippines.*Carlo Leonardia
