Badminton champion Lance Gabriel Vargas is representing the Philippines in the World Juniors Badminton Tournament in Spain on October this year.
Vargas, a Bacoleño, will also play in an ASEAN badminton tournament in November, a press release from the provincial government of Negros Occidental said.
Lance is an outgoing Grade 11 student at Trinity Christian School in Bacolod City.
Accompanied by his coach, Kenneth Monterubio, and parents, Raffy and Armida Vargas, he paid a courtesy visit yesterday to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.*
