The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) announced that two major public events held on Sunday, the Trillion Peso March and the Jesus Reigns Celebration, concluded peacefully with no recorded untoward incidents within the areas under their jurisdiction.
Various civil society groups, universities, and cause-oriented groups converged at the Bacolod Public Plaza, while the parade of the Jesus Reigns crowd stayed at The Upper East.
Personnel were deployed from the Civil Disturbance Management, Reactionary Standby Support Force, and various BCPO units and were placed under a full alert status.
The BCPO credited the outcome to the vigilance, preparedness, and coordinated efforts of these personnel, who maintained peace and order throughout the day.
In a statement, BCPO City Director PCol. Joeresty Coronica, expressed gratitude to all participants, attendees, and organizers of both events.
He commended the stakeholders for their discipline, cooperation, and orderly conduct, which were crucial in ensuring both the political assembly and the religious celebration remained peaceful, organized, and incident-free.*
