The Office of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) at the Bacolod City Government Center has been closed since Monday for disinfection after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19, City Administrator Em Ang said yesterday.
Ang said other employees of the BAC, who had close contact with the COVID positive staff, have already undergone swab test.
BAC chairman and City Assessor Maphilindo Polvora said yesterday that the last bidding they conducted was on September 23 yet.
He only found out that the BAC Office was closed when he went there Wednesday, Polvora said.
Polvora said he also sent home a female staff member of the City Assessor’s Office Monday, when a member of her family tested positive for COVID-19.*
