Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez issued Executive Order No. 0-70, series of 2023 instructing all barangays in Bacolod City to participate in the Business One-Stop-Shop.
In partnership with Ayala Malls Capitol Central, the Bacolod City Government’s Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) officially opened on January 3 at the 4th floor of the mall and will run until January 20, unless extended by law or ordinance.
The executive order said it is imperative for the city to simplify the processing of business permits by imposing a system where transaction time can be efficiently cut short.
It said all barangays, through their respective punong barangays, shall install or set up their own official tables at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as assign at least two personnel to man their offsite tables for the duration of the BOSS.
The “No Noon Break” policy shall also be observed by the barangay personnel during the same period, it added.
Meanwhile, the BOSS headed by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) together with all city government departments involved, have assigned representatives per office to assist and process business permits and clearances onsite. Business owners have the option to process their permits or clearances manually or online.
Before BOSS commenced this year, the BPLO had already been receiving advanced processing starting Nov. 23 up to Dec. 29, 2023.*
