Bacolod City’s Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) kicked off the year with a significant 44.18 percent increase in collections during its first week, compared to last year, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) reported.
BPLO head Stela Rayos said that as of January 9, the city has already issued 520 Mayor’s Permits out of 10,147 total business registrations recorded, since the program opened on January 5.
Mayor Greg Gasataya attributed the revenue growth to the efficiency of the streamlined process and the cooperation of the local business community.
“May this serve as a reminder to our fellow workers in the city of Bacolod to continue showing kindness, support, and appreciation to our taxpayers,” the mayor said.
To ensure all business owners have ample time to comply without penalties, the city government has officially extended the BOSS operations until March 31.*
