Bacolod City joins Flag Day celebrations

Bacolod City commemorated National Flag Day on Wednesday with simultaneous flag-raising ceremonies held at the Old Singcang Airport, Bacolod City Government Center, Rizal Elementary School, Bonifacio Elementary School and the Bacolod City Public Plaza, a press release from Bacolod PIO said.

The events were attended by city officials, barangay leaders, government employees, students, and members of the community. Each venue featured a simple but meaningful program highlighting the importance of the Philippine flag as a symbol of unity, freedom, and national pride.

National Flag Day is observed from May 28 to June 12, culminating in the celebration of Philippine Independence Day. During this period, all Filipinos are encouraged to proudly display the Philippine flag in homes, offices, and public spaces.*
