The vibrant spirit of Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025 came alive yesterday as the Province of Negros Occidental officially opened the festival grounds at Panaad Park, signaling the grand opening of all city and municipal booths and pavilions, including the highly anticipated Bacolod City Pavilion.
With the theme “Bacolod Smiles Shared with the World,” the Bacolod Pavilion opens its doors with a meaningful display of local artistry, community collaboration, and heartfelt storytelling. A stunning floor mural, “Bacolod Mural Art Walk” hand-painted by passionate Bacolodnon artists, serves as the pavilion’s centerpiece-depicting the daily life, struggles, and triumphs of Bacolodnons. It is a celebration of resilience, hope, and the joy that defines the City of Smiles.
OPENING CEREMONY
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Bacolod Pavilion took place at 5 p.m. today led by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez, together with city officials. This was followed by a vibrant variety show featuring performers from Bacolod City College. Guests enjoyed a night of music, cultural presentations, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the heart of the Bacolodnon.
BEST OF BACOLOD’S BARANGAYS
This year introduces a barangay and community-based concept at the pavilion, where participating barangays proudly showcase their local products, crafts, and talents. It’s a unique opportunity for visitors to support grassroots creativity and discover the diverse stories and skills from Bacolod’s very own communities.
