The City of Bacolod under the leadership of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez received a Plaque of Recognition for donating vehicles to the Bacolod City Fire Station during the 51st Fire Service Recognition Day at District 21 Hotel, Atria Park District, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, yesterday.
This award was personally received by Bacolod Fire Marshal, Fire Supt. Jenny Mae Masip, on behalf of Benitez.
Masip was also awarded the Medalya ng Papuri for her exemplary contributions in facilitating POPS PLAN funding and other significant achievements. Additionally, the firefighters of BFP Bacolod were recognized with the Medalya ng Pagtulong sa Nasalanta for their heroic efforts during the onslaught of Tropical Storms Kristine and Ferdie.
The 51st Fire Service Recognition Day ceremony was spearheaded by the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 led by regional director Fire Chief Supt. Felixberto Abrenica.
FO1 John Roi Celis was the overall Top 1 graduate of the Fire Basic Recruit Course (FBRC).
The BFP Bacolod thanked Councilor Psyche Marie “Pao” Sy and the Bacolod City DRRMO, headed by Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan, for their crucial role in securing funding for the BFP Ambulance and Rescue vehicle donation.*
