The Bacolod City Health Office recorded two new cases of leptospirosis in Bacolod City this month.
The total number of leptospirosis cases rose from 11 in July compared to 13, as of August 3. The total recorded deaths is four, covering the period from January 1 to August 3.
However, this year’s figures is a decrease of 76.8 percent compared to cases of leptospirosis last year with 56 cases and seven deaths.
CHO records show that the barangays with the highest number of cases are Barangays 35, Pahanocoy, and Punta Taytay with two cases each; and Barangays Alijis, Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, Mandalagan, Felisa, 6, and 12 with one case each.*
