The Bacolod government reiterated yesterday its requirement that travelers must register with the city’s BaCTrac system before they are allowed entry.
Aside from the BaCTrac app, returning residents and locally stranded individuals are required to have a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test taken within 72 hours from point of origin outside of Western Visayas, Councilor Cindy Rojas said.
Rojas, who is in-charge of the returning LSIs, said they are also required to submit their health declaration form online through http://tinyurl.com/bcdinbound.
Councilor Israel Salanga said balikbayans should submit their flight details through email@example.com on top of the negative RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours from point of origin and a copy of their passport ID with stamp before arrival in the Philippines.
Salanga said the contact numbers and addresses of balikbayans in Bacolod should also be emailed. They may contact his office through (034) 435-3604, 0930-1337332 or 0961-6551745 for more details.
He said there are no city requirements for overseas Filipino workers but they are asked to coordinate with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration help desk upon arrival in the country, and may also coordinate with his office.
Salanga added that non-essential travelers are also required to present negative RT-PCR test results taken two days before their scheduled trip to Bacolod and should submit their itinerary, confirmed bookings, roundtrip tickets and health declaration form. The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force has ordered a status quo on the requirements of local government units in Western Visayas for locally stranded individuals returning to the region.*
