Bacolod cops on heightened alert for Undas

• THERESA MAE DULMAN

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) said that they will be on heightened alert status for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, starting from October 29 to November 3.

BCPO Director PCol. Joeresty Coronica stated that they will deploy a total of 262 personnel in cemeteries and vital places around the city.

Coronica added that they will also implement the visiting hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. mandated by the Bacolod City Government.

The City Director also reminded the visitors to avoid bringing of gambling paraphernalia, liquor, and sharp objects.

The police also warned the public not to post ‘at the moment’ photos on social media, and entrust their houses to someone they know to prevent burglaries.

Among those that will be mobilized will be from the Force Multiplier, Reactionary Standby Support Force, Civil Disturbance Management Unit, PNP personnel, and other deployed government uniformed personnel.

A total of 900 uniformed personnel will be deployed island-wide by the Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region.*
