The City of Bacolod secured a Special Citation at the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo, the country’s largest business gathering, continuing its streak of recognition in business-friendly governance.
The city received the award during the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards held last Monday at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
The Special Citation specifically honors Bacolod’s demonstrated commitment to innovative programs focused on improving connectivity, attracting vital investment, and bolstering local entrepreneurship.
The Bacolod City Department of Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions head Dr. Mae Llamas and City Budget Head Imelda Williams, accepted the citation on behalf of Mayor Greg Gasataya.
Just a month prior, Bacolod City was tagged among the Top Five Most Business-Friendly Local Government Units for 2025 by the PCCI, specifically in the City Level 1B or Provincial Highly Urbanized Cities category.*
