The Bacolod City government formalized a public-private partnership with SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.), marked by the presentation of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) at the Bacolod City Government Center.
The collaboration is aimed at producing “Doing Business in Bacolod,” a publication that will showcase the city’s investment potential.
The guide will highlight Bacolod’s infrastructure, skilled workforce, peace and order, and strong governance.
“The most important thing is that there are private sectors who are willing to help us achieve what we want for our city,” Mayor Greg Gasataya.
Under the agreement, SGV & Co. will provide technical assistance at no cost, specifically in the publication’s conceptualization, design, and review while the city government will handle the necessary data gathering, production of the final material, and printing.
“SGV exists to be a good catalyst for nation-building, not only that we supply valuable talent in the industry, we exist to help the government,” SGV & Co. Chairman Wilson Tan.*
