The Bacolod Election Registration Board resolved 10,199 voters’ applications, as of July 19, city Commission on Elections officer Kathrina Trinio-Caña said yesterday.
Of the number, 222 were facing opposition but the complaints for 145 had already been officially withdrawn by the complainants, Caña said, adding that the resolution on these oppositions will be announced soon.
She said voter’s registration for the May 2022 elections will end on September 30 and no more extension will be made, thus, everyone is encouraged to register before then, she added.
Caña also said that they are set to hold special registrations in malls and other areas, and will announce the dates soon.
A reshuffling of election officers, starting with provincial officers, will also take place before the start of the campaign season, she added.*
