An ordinance extending the deadline for the application and renewal of business permits and licenses in the City of Bacolod until March 31, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod on first, second, and third and final reading yesterday.
In his request to Bacolod Vice Mayor Claudio Puentevella and the members of the SP dated January 7, Mayor Greg Gasataya said only payments made on or before February 28 may avail of the 10 percent discount, and those paying after February 28 until March 31, will not be charged with any penalty and surcharge.
The Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS), which aims to simplify and speed up the business registration and renewal process for local entrepreneurs, was launched Monday at the Bacolod City Government Center and will run until January 20.
Business owners who pay in full qualify for a 10 percent discount on business tax, which does not apply to regulatory fees.*
