Bacolod Fire Station joins National Service Caravan

The Bacolod City Fire Station, under the leadership of City Fire Marshal FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip, actively participated in yesterday’s National Service Caravan held at Barangay Handumanan—an initiative spearheaded by Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, a press release from Bacolod BFP said.

The event brought together various government agencies in a unified effort to deliver essential public services directly at the barangay level. Among the participating agencies were the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Land Transportation Office, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Philippine Statistics Authority, Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The Bacolod City Fire Station provided frontline fire safety services, including the processing of new and renewal applications for the Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC). This initiative significantly improved accessibility for residents and business owners, eliminating the need to travel to central offices and ensuring faster, more convenient compliance with fire safety requirements.

Masip emphasized the importance of bringing government services closer to the people, highlighting that proactive engagement at the grassroots level strengthens public safety and community resilience. She also reaffirmed the commitment of the Bureau of Fire Protection to continuously innovate and collaborate with partner agencies in promoting fire prevention and safety awareness.

The National Service Caravan stands as a testament to the government’s dedication to inclusive and responsive public service—making vital assistance more accessible, efficient, and community-centered.*
