The Bacolod Football League (BFL) kicked off Sunday at the Bacolod City National High School and will run until August 21, a press release from the organizers said.
The BFL, the newest football league in Bacolod City, will feature 13 teams, under two age categories.
Participating in the Under-12 group category are the teams 6100 First Touch, Bago City FC, Sidlak Victorias, Ramses Mandirigma, ETCS1, Rizal FC, USLS, and Legacy Aspin FC.
Joining the Under-16 Boys Group are the 6100 First Touch, Mandirigma, USLS, Legacy Aspin FC, and Domingo Lacson National High School.
BFL general coordinator Jeffrey Velez said the Bacolod Football League aims to continue the development and raise the level of football in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, through the staging of regular competitions.
The initial BFL season is held in cooperation with Dep-Ed Bacolod, Bacolod City National High School, NOFA Referees Committee, Futgals, and 6100 First Touch.*
