Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya has proposed the use of “G-App” to revolutionize waste management in the city, a press release from the Bacolod City Communications Group said.
In a move to modernize urban sanitation, Gasataya proposed the use of a digital platform designed to improve and streamline garbage collection operations in the city in an effort to promote a cleaner and greener Bacolod.
During a meeting with IPM-Construction Development Corporation yesterday, the city’s waste management contractor, the mayor emphasized the urgency of adopting technology-based solutions.
One key feature of the G-App is the Real-Time GPS Tracking. Integrated with IPM-CDC’s existing fleet system, the app will enhance coordination, ensure efficient garbage collection and operations monitoring that will reduce fuel cost and service gaps.
Gasataya directed IPM-CDC to prioritize urban zones, including high-density downtown areas and residential subdivisions, ensuring no neighborhood is overlooked.*
