The Bacolod City Government officially turned over 222 smart televisions to 70 public schools to strengthen digital learning in local classrooms.
Funded through a P7.34 million allocation from the Special Education Fund, the project aims to assist teachers and students by providing tools for more interactive, clear, and effective instruction.
Under the initiative, each public high school will receive two units, while elementary schools will receive three units each to support daily classroom lessons and various school activities.
Mayor Greg Gasataya emphasized that the distribution is a continuous program of the city government designed to help the local education system adapt to modern, digital modes of learning.
The procurement of the smart TVs serves as an initial component of a broader, long-term educational improvement plan laid out by the Local School Board.*
