The Bacolod City Health Office (CHO) recorded a total of 2,617 dengue cases in Bacolod City, with seven deaths, from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
The number of cases last year is 351.7 percent higher compared to the same period in 2023, which recorded 574 cases with three deaths.
The barangays with the highest recorded cases are Taculing with 274 cases, followed by Mansilingan – 216, Estefania – 188, Bata – 182, Villamonte – 159, Tangub – 142, Mandalagan – 138, Alijis – 133, Singcang – 126, Sum-ag – 116, Banago – 100, Cabug and Vista Alegre – 97 each, and Granada – 92.
Meanwhile, the CHO also recorded seven suspected cases of monkeypox and 66 cases of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease from January 1 to December 31, 2024 with no recorded deaths.*
