The City of Bacolod, through the City Tourism Office, together with the STI-West Negros University, officially began the Christmas celebration with the Lights On Ceremony and the Festival of Lights with the theme, “Christmas for Kids” at the Bacolod City Government Center, a press release from Bacolod PIO said.
The event was led by Mayor Albee Benitez, together with Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Israel Salanga, Cindy Rojas, Em Ang, Al Espino, Vladimir Gonzalez, Jason Villarosa, Kalaw Puentevella, and Danna Marie Cuaycong-Barzo, together with City Tourism Head Tere Manalili and Special Assistant to the Mayor Engr. Mae Cuaycong.
The program featured various activities such as the Parade of Lights, the ceremonial lights on ceremony, the simultaneous lighting of the BCGC Installations and lights, a song performance, and an arena dance competition which marks a brighter and sweeter Christmas season of the year in the city.*
